1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They can remember your language, keep you signed in, remember your consent choice, or help a site understand how it is used. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels.
2. Categories we use
| Category | What it does | Can you switch it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps the site secure and working: WordPress login and session cookies, security checks, and the cookie that stores your consent choice. Examples include wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_test_cookie and cookieyes-consent. |
No. The site cannot work without them. |
| Preferences | Remembers choices such as your language. The translation service may set googtrans. |
Yes, through the consent banner or your browser. |
| Analytics | If enabled, helps us understand which pages are used and how visitors reach them. We use aggregate reports, not profiles for advertising. | Yes. Analytics is only set when you consent. |
| Marketing | We do not currently use advertising or remarketing cookies. If we add them, they will be listed here and will require consent. | Yes. |
3. Consent
When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or choose categories. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the site cannot operate without them. Non-essential cookies are not set until you consent.
4. How to withdraw or change consent
You can reopen the consent banner from the cookie settings link on the site, or clear cookies for this site in your browser and choose again. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, including login and forms, from working.
5. Third-party services
Some cookies are set by services that help us run the site:
- Hosting and cache — the hosting provider and LiteSpeed cache keep the site fast and available.
- Translation — GTranslate may store your language choice.
- Consent — CookieYes / Cookie Law Info stores your cookie choice.
- Analytics — only if enabled and consented.
These providers process data under their own privacy terms. We do not sell personal data.
6. Do Not Track
Browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry standard for honouring it, so we rely on the consent banner and your browser settings instead.
7. Changes
We may update this policy when the tools we use change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version.
8. Contact
Questions about this policy or a request about your data can be sent through the contact page. Please include “Cookie Policy” in the subject.
